How much does vein treatment cost?
The cost of vein stripping surgery can range from $1,500 to $3,000 not including the fees that will be charged by the hospital or surgical center that the patient decides to go to. Costs for Endovenous Laser Treatment (EVLT) can range from $600 to $3,000, and this will largely depend on how much of the vein needs to actually be treated.
How much does it cost to have varicose veins treated?
If you or one of your family members suffer from varicose veins, you may be considering or would be open to learning about treatment options that will help correct the problem. However, fearing that the cost will be inordinate will often at times scare people away from looking into or considering this treatment. Varicose vein treatment costs to you, can vary from $0 (if your treatment is covered by insurance) to more than $3,000 if it is not. There are two deciding factors that will help determine how much your varicose veins treatment(s) will cost. These questions will be asked/determined by our vein doctor at your initial consultation:
- Is the treatment a medical necessity or is it for cosmetic reasons?
- Do you have an underlying vein disease?
How much does spider vein treatment cost?
For spider vein treatments, it is very likely that you will be held responsible for all of the costs that you accumulate. However, this varies widely on the procedure and of course your geographic location. The United States national average for spider vein treatment costs with sclerotherapy is roughly about $350 per session. Please do keep in mind that how many sessions you need will vary from patient to patient. Other costs that may accumulate for spider vein treatments are minimal. Additional costs may only include buying compression stockings for your aftercare.
If the costs of treatment for your spider veins is too high, consider asking the vein doctors at Advanced Vascular Specialist for a payment plan. This may help ease the burden of having to pay out of pocket for your vascular care.
Is vein treatment covered by insurance?
When vein treatments are performed for medical health reasons, varicose vein treatments are often covered by many insurance companies. However, the removal of spider veins, is usually done for cosmetic reasons and therefore it is not generally covered by insurances. Be sure to check with your insurance company so they can help determine which treatment options are covered under your health insurance plan.
